The purpose of the Bulldog Buddies program to connect young people with caring adult and high school mentors within the school setting.  The Galena USD 499 Bulldog Buddies program has been in place since 1999 and still going strong due to the commitment of community and school volunteers.

• Individual mentor
• Group mentor
• Academic tutor
• Help with special projects
• Be a friend

• Liberty Elementary
• Galena Middle School
When
• During  school hours
• 7:40am - 3:10pm
How
• Easy as 1 - 2 - 3
• Complete an application and consent to background screening
• Applications available at Liberty Elementary 
• Attend the volunteer training session
• School orientation and student introduction
